9811 Lubao Ave - Shingle & Torch-Down Roof Replacement
Complete roof replacement on a single-story home at 9811 Lubao Ave in Chatsworth, CA, covering a 27-square shingle roof and a 3-square flat roof. During tear-off we found two old roofing layers, including a rock layer, that had never been removed. The added weight had weakened the decking, so we removed every layer and installed all new plywood decking for a solid, flat surface with no waves. The shingle roof received the full Malarkey Premium system with Vista Cool shingles in Willow Wood, and we upgraded to a 3" drip edge to fit the home's larger fascia, which gives the roofline a clean, sharp contrast. The flat section was finished with a Polyglass torch-down system that is Cool Roof compliant.
